It’s important to be careful when buying products from Indiegogo projects because they might be from fly-by-night companies or never see the light of day. But IntelliARMORis an established firm with lots of existing products, so when the company sent me a working version of its Scout Charger (starting at $25) I felt comfortable testing and reviewing it.

Usually when I review a battery pack, there are some compromises. Either cables are not included, or only one type is, and you need a cable to charge it. Not so with the Scout. It will charge just about anything with USB-C, Lightning, and microUSB, and one model even adds Qi wireless charging! All of this is done via three built-in cables. Plus, the Scout recharges itself using pop-out A/C wall-prongs.
The are two models, priced the same. One is 5,000 mAh with Qi support and the other is a 10,000 mAh version. Both are heavy duty and well-built. There’s just one color option, black, so I’d like to see more. It is expected to retail for $80, so it’s a bargain at $25 plus shipping on Indiegogo.
